Reading Rambling Club now have their own web site.
Reading Rambling Club is a friendly independent walking club which has been enjoying the local countryside for over 70 years. They also venture further a-field for long days out, weekends away and holidays abroad. They meet most Saturdays and Sundays for walks between 5 and 15 miles. The Wednesday Group meet midweek for walks between 3 and 8 miles and the Mountain Section spend weekends tackling longer walks in wilder terrain.

The Croydon, Surrey, Solutions Walking Group offer a graded series of walks and rambles that provide a varied walking programme for all ages.

Walks with Buggies and Walks with Wheelchairs. Two new web sites where you can find, and post, walks that are suited to mothers with Buggies and those with a Wheelchair who want to get out in the countryside.

Walking Englishman is intended as a reference directory for people who enjoy that most timeless of pursuits - walking and rambling in the countryside. As a directory, they will be featuring articles on walking, walking equipment and clothing.

Walking Forum is a forum for discussing all aspects of country walking & hiking in the UK with boards for general chat, gear, photography, and all the popular UK walking destinations.

Walking for Health Initiative (WHI) Visit this site to find out more about the Countryside Agency's Initiative to encourage more people to walk. You will find more links to other Health Walks. There is a particularly useful search facility to help you find the walks local to you.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) teamed up with Natural England to form the WHI. Visit these sites to find out how you can help raise funds for this worthwhile cause.

The Chilterns Society A really good site full of useful information for walkers (as well as other activities). There is a particularly long list of walks in various areas as well as a comprehensive list of 'Walkers Pubs'

The Chilterns Conservation Board A fantastic site for those that want leaflets and publications on where to walk and what to see in the Chiltern Hills and Vales. It contains loads in downloadable, printable pdf format. There is one called Views of the Thames that features two walks that begin from Goring & Streatley Railway Station

The Ramblers Association Rambling, Walking - what's the difference? Visit this site to find out

The Ridgeway 20 (20 miles from Wayland Smithy, nr Wantage, to Streatley)
Both take place every May.
