Paint Abingdon Pink
Against Breast Cancer, an Abingdon-based charity, invite you to join them at their free annual community fundraising event, Paint Abingdon Pink.
The event will take place on Saturday 4th July 2026 in Abingdon Market Place, 10am-3.30pm.
This vibrant, family-friendly afternoon is a popular fixture in the local calendar, attracting hundreds of people for live entertainment, dancing and a wide variety of stalls. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the charity, connect with the local community and raise vital funds for our research into secondary spread breast cancer.
There will be live entertainment in the market square from 10am until 3.30pm including acts like The Undercovers, Ashnah Belly Dance, Abbey Brass and much more.
The Uk Garrisons will also be attending, alongside the Abingdon Wookie and if you have a sweet tooth the fabulous Fiona Frost will have plenty of cakes to go around.

The Sue Ryder Starlight Hike event is taking place at Mapledurham Estate on Saturday 24th October from 5pm.
This event is a beautifully lit 5km or 10km walk under the stars where supporters walk in memory of loved ones.
It features upbeat music, delicious refreshments and an energising warm-up.
To give you a flavour of what you can expect on the day, please watch this video.
The event is Sue Ryder’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Leaders
We have a pool of around 30 trained leaders. We are always on the lookout for more leaders, or back up leaders (who do not need formal training to make a difference).

There is no need for regular commitment or to be a main leader, you will be just as welcome to become a back-up or co-leader.

First Steps
We offer a First Steps walk at 10:00 on Tuesdays. If required this can be an individually tailored walk. If you are interested in this walk. or know someone that might be, please Contact us and we will be happy to advise on expectations and ensure that a leader is available.
