For many of the children at Pace just achieving independent mobility is a huge achievement and takes years of practice. Whether it's taking one step, or learning to use a motorised wheelchair, the challenges they overcome to be independent are enormous. YOU can help them achieve their goals and transform the lives of children with a neurodisability like cerebral palsy by putting on your own walking shoes and joining us for the ‘Winter Waggle’. Taking part not only gives you the opportunity to explore this beautiful countryside estate, but you will also be helping us to provide life changing support to the babies, children and young people who access Pace services.

ramblers Walking scheme changes
South & Vale District Council's Active Community team have decided not to renew their membership of Ramblers Wellbeing Walks from January 2023
Goring Gap Walks will therefore be overseen by South & Vale but will regain their autonomy as an independent walking group.
Nothing noticeable will change as far as our led walks are concerned.

Leaders
We have have a pool of around 35 trained leaders. However not all are 'active' as some are 'shielding' or 'indisposed' for various reasons. We are always on the lookout for more leaders, or back up leaders (who do not need formal training to make a difference). Get in touch with Bernard if you would like to find out more about being a leader.
There is no need for regular commitment or to be a main leader, you will be just as welcome to become a back up leader.
